FILLING

Fillings are used to treat cavities and broken or cracked teeth.  

When you come in for a filling, the doctor will take a look at the tooth and determine if you will need a local anesthetic.  Then he will remove the decayed portion of the tooth with a drill and clean the area of bacteria and debris.  After the debris is removed, a tooth-colored composite filling will be applied and polished.



Tooth sensitivity after a filling is common and should resolve on its own after a few weeks.
